1. Introduction and acceptance

ChronosTour is a self-guided tourism experience that combines narration and historical context with location-based navigation. These Terms form an agreement between you, as a user, and the service operator identified in the contact section.

By downloading, installing or using ChronosTour, you confirm that you have read and accept these Terms. If you do not agree with them, please do not use the app or its services.

2. What ChronosTour is

ChronosTour offers self-guided tours designed so you can explore places at your own pace, supported by narration and historical context.

• Self-guided tours with narration and historical context.
• Location-based navigation and route tracking using the device's position.
• Basic offline functionality depending on the mode and the content downloaded.
• Recommendations when you finish a tour.
• Historical reconstructions only where they are available for a given place.

Some features may vary depending on the device, location, purchased mode and content availability. ChronosTour may expand, change or withdraw features over time.

3. Usage requirements

To use ChronosTour you need a compatible mobile device with access to location sensors and, for certain features, an internet connection. Downloading content for offline use may require sufficient storage space.

You are responsible for having a suitable device, keeping the app up to date, and having the battery and connectivity you need while using it.

The service is intended for people able to accept these Terms. If you are a minor, you must have the consent of your legal guardian.

4. Safety and user responsibility

Your safety comes first. ChronosTour is a tool to help you explore, but it does not replace your own judgement or your attention to your surroundings while you move.

• You remain responsible for your physical safety at all times.
• You must respect traffic, signage, closures, private property and local rules.
• Stay aware of your surroundings and avoid looking at the screen while walking or crossing risky areas.
• ChronosTour does not replace official signage or the instructions of the authorities.

Use the app with common sense and stop in a safe place whenever you need to check it.

5. GPS, maps, routes and real-world conditions

ChronosTour navigation relies on GPS and map providers, whose accuracy may vary depending on the area, the device and current conditions.

GPS and maps may show errors, delays or deviations. Routes, access points, opening hours and ground conditions may change and do not always reflect the real situation at every moment.

We recommend cross-checking the information with on-site signage and adapting to the actual conditions you find. When in doubt, always prioritise your safety and official instructions.

6. Accuracy of historical content

ChronosTour aims to offer carefully prepared historical content based on available sources. Even so, history is open to interpretation and some facts may be subject to revision.

Part of the content may include editorial interpretation. We cannot guarantee that all information is free of inaccuracies, and we may correct or update content when necessary.

7. Historical reconstructions

Where available, historical reconstructions are representations based on existing sources and may include reasoned inferences where complete documentation does not exist.

These reconstructions are interpretive recreations and should not be understood as photographs or exact documentary evidence of how the past actually looked.

8. Third-party services

ChronosTour is distributed through and may rely on third-party services, such as the App Store, Google Play, map and navigation providers, and links to external sites.

These services are governed by their own terms and policies. We do not control how they operate and are not responsible for their content or availability; we recommend reviewing their conditions where relevant.

9. Purchases and payments

ChronosTour may offer different packages and purchase options. In the current version, purchases are made through the relevant app store (App Store or Google Play); there is no separate payment process on the website.

Billing, payment handling and certain refund processes may also be subject to the rules of the store through which you made your purchase.

10. Refunds and consumer rights

You keep all the mandatory rights granted to you by applicable consumer law; these Terms do not limit or exclude them.

In addition to those rights, refund requests relating to purchases made on the App Store or Google Play are usually handled under each store's policies. If you have any problem with a purchase, you can write to the contact address and we will try to help.

11. Tour Juntos and shared use

Where available, “Tour Juntos” is a mode designed for sharing the experience as a group. Its exact scope may depend on the purchased mode and the conditions in force at any given time.

Shared-use features may evolve over time. Only the capabilities actually offered in the version you use will be available.

12. Intellectual property and licence to use

All ChronosTour content — including narration, text, images, reconstructions, audio, trademarks and the software itself — is protected by intellectual property rights and belongs to the service operator or its licensors.

You are granted a personal, limited, non-exclusive and non-transferable licence to use the app and its content for personal, non-commercial purposes within the normal operation of the service. The following, among others, are prohibited:

• copying or reproducing the content on a large scale;
• reselling, redistributing or transferring access to third parties;
• extracting content for commercial purposes without authorisation;
• using the narration or assets outside the service.

This licence does not affect uses expressly permitted by applicable law.

13. Prohibited use

When using ChronosTour you agree to do so lawfully and responsibly. In particular, you must not:

• use the service for unlawful purposes or in ways that harm others;
• tamper with, decompile or attempt to breach the security of the app;
• access the service through unauthorised automated means;
• reproduce, distribute or exploit the content beyond what these Terms allow;
• put your safety or that of others at risk while using it.

14. Technical availability and service changes

We work to keep ChronosTour running reliably, but we cannot guarantee that the service will be available without interruption or free of errors.

We may update, change, suspend or withdraw features or content, and carry out maintenance, when needed for the operation, security or improvement of the service.

15. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, ChronosTour will not be liable for damage arising from improper use of the app, from a lack of attention to your surroundings, or from changes to routes, access points or ground conditions beyond our control.

Within those same limits, we are also not liable for the operation of third-party services or for occasional technical interruptions or unavailability.

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot legally be excluded, including the mandatory rights you have as a consumer.

16. Privacy

How information related to the website is handled is described in our Privacy Policy. We recommend reading it to understand what data may be processed and for what purpose.

17. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms to reflect changes in the service or in applicable law. When we do, we will publish the revised version on this page.

Continued use of ChronosTour after an updated version is published means you accept the Terms in force at that time.
